Remixing the Classics
A free, cross-professional workshop and networking event
Friday, 15 July 2022, 1-5pm
The Exchange in Birmingham
What do digital technologies bring to the re-telling of old stories? How can we support the creation of digital adaptations of classic literature, and the use of them in the classroom?
Join us for talks from Sarah Ellis (Director of Digital Development at the Royal Shakespeare Company), Erin Sullivan and Deborah Cartmell (Chairs of the Remixing the Classics network), and roundtables on creative practice and teaching chaired by Lara Ratnaraja (Cultural Consultant and Curator of Hello Culture) and Vicki Edmunds (Media Studies and English Teacher at Chipping Campden School).
With lunch, a closing reception, and lots of discussion, there will be plenty of opportunity to meet others and reconnect after the pandemic. Travel bursaries are available and the talks will also be streamed.
